Dunedin City South Recovery Plan
Pocock Design Environment (PDE) led the investigation into areas such as the regional landscape (ecological and open space) network, city wide landscape value, key open spaces (the Octagon and Queens Gardens), public realm and streetscape, which are a vital part of CBD’s performance. Following the workshop PDE was also asked to review and design of 4 key CBD pocket parks and the harbour edge. The project looked at the performance of the current CBD of Dunedin in areas such as transportation, landscape, retail, employment and management. Once this data was collected the team developed a framework for improving and developing the CBD positively and sustainably in the next 15 to 20 years.
