Kaitiaki Green Wall

Kaitiaki "The Keeper" is a contemporary living art installation done in conjunction with Darryn George, a well-know New Zealand artist. The art piece is attached to the side of the Canterbury Museum, located in the Christchurch Botanical Garden, which was one of the few places to remain intact after the earthquake. As the centre piece of the 2013 Festival of Flowers the green wall serves as a guardian for post earthquake Christchurch, and can still be viewed in the Botanical Gardens and is an important piece of transitional artwork within the city.
